Quick Glance
What's great?
- Santhanam's comedy
- Hansika's glamor part
- Action sequences
- Some good songs
What's not?
- Too loud in almost every scene
- Same old storyline
As you might have guessed, the film's lead Vishal is a jobless but happy guy who loves Hansika but there's a flashback where it is revealed that he also has the task to unite his father Prabhu with his sisters. This storyline is more than enough for a commercial entertainer, we presume.
The CastVishal has always been the angry man in movies and loves being in action packed masala entertainers. His presence in Ambala might remind you of many other movies of his but still it is enjoyable throughout the run time. Hansika is the perfect commercial heroine who has no reason to act while Prabhu, Vaibhav, Ramya Krishnan and others does their job well in their respective roles. Santhanam is at his best after a long time and his jokes would definitely make you laugh.
The TeamSundar C is an ace director when it comes to delivering movies for the entire family and he does it one more time. While Ambala is bit loud most times, it is for mass movie lovers who wouldn't mind logic. The film's camera work is decent while music by debutant Hip Hop Tamizha is good in bits and pieces, with two hummable numbers. Just make sure you don't expect any logic and be prepared to enjoy the ride.
Bottom line – Watch it for Santhanam's comedy and the stunt sequences.
Certified Fresh – Yes!
