Anjala Movie Review - Kollywood Version of a Tea Shop
Anjala is a movie which set out to tell the story of a tea stall with a heritage and has a really good star cast in it. Vimal is in the known role while there's Pasupathi who is more like the hero of the film.

Even though, the message is pure, the way the film has been narrated is totally cliché with all the scenes that you would see in a Tamil movie. Only very few people can watch it because predictability is abundant in the film.
- ► Pasupathy's graceful acting
- ► A whole lot of cast with Vimal, Nandita among many others
- ► A true story with some realism in it
- ► Very predictable scenes
- ► Unwanted songs
- ► Pretty boring with too many twists and climax reveal
The movie is all about Anjala, a tea shop run by Pasupathy where Vimal, Imman, Murugadoss and many others hang out. When the shop is about to be removed, they try to save it and there's a politician who wants to close it down as well. All of them have to team up to save the day.The Cast
Pasupathy is obviously the star of the movie because he runs the tea shop while Vimal and his friends add up to the storyline with their own stories. The flashback sequences are promising while the heroine Nandita is in a graceful role. The Team
Director Thangam Saravanan seems to have taken the script from this own experiences and he has tried to deliver it on big screen. However, he has fallen prey to the usual cliché and the way Tamil movies are done. Music by Gopi Sundar is decent while Praveen KL's editing makes it watchable.
Bottom line - Very predictable and not so engaging.
