Kuttram Kadithal Movie Review
– A daring attempt that takes Kollywood to new levels

Kuttram Kadithal

Kuttram Kadithal by director Bramma is not the run of the mill commercial movie but a film that directly questions all the bad things in a society while recognizing activities that take place on a daily basis.

Be it caste issues, the life in the slum and the problems students face when trying to achieve good education, everything has been discussed. But, the best thing is that it is not preachy and showcases all these in the view of the characters.

What's not?
  • • The angles and mood set by award films is there

Radhika Prasiddha is married to Sai Rajkumar and begins her life as well as career for the first time in a school. When she beats Ajay in school, he goes into coma which is when everybody's life turns topsy turvy. While this is a genuine mistake, every aspect including their caste, status and other things are used against them by Ajay's parents along with their communist uncle.

The Cast

Instead of going for a heroine with layers of make-up director Bramma has opted for the close to life actor Radhika Prasiddha who has played the character to perfection. Sai Rajkumar is neat in a supporting role while the young boy Ajay brilliantly portrays emotions. Every actor have done their part amazingly well which is a huge plus for Kuttram Kadithal.

The Team

While director Bramma receives all the praise for coming up with a movie that moves you emotionally and makes you think twice about the society you live in, the supporting team including the cameraman, editor and even the sound designer played a crucial role in elevating the experience.

Bottom line – A must watch, especially if you loved 'Kaaka Muttai'!
