Get ready to watch a lot of scenes with Santhanam and Arya getting drunk while girlfriends trying to split them. There are plenty of scenes that remind you of director Rajesh's earlier movies but above them all, this movie is a fun ride from start to finish.

Quick Glance

What's great?

  • • Santhanam's flawless timing and one liners

  • • Arya in a supporting role than being the hero

  • • Vidyu Raman does fill up the position of Kovai Sarala and Manorama

  • • The cameo appearances from the usual Lollu Sabha team

What's not?
  • • Too many drinking scenes as usual

  • • Very thin and familiar plot with hardly a storyline

  • • Average songs

Director Rajesh's movie doesn't have much of a storyline ever. Arya and Santhanam are friends whose friendship is tested when Tamannah and Baanu enters their life. It's all about how they try to keep their friendship intact while keeping their respective girlfriends happy.

The Cast

Arya is the hero but he is more of a side actor because Santhanam rules 'VSOP' just like he did in OK OK and Boss Engira Baskaran. Santhanam's punch lines are too many and you will probably miss some of the good jokes as there will be a new one by then. Tamannahis a glam doll and does her job while it is Vidyu's counter argument with Santhanam that keeps the comedy rolling.

The Team

Director Rajesh tried a storyline with 'Azhaguraja' and it wasn't a huge success. He goes back to his usual friends, girlfriends and drinks formula. The movie is entertaining with plenty of good comedy scenes and some irritating ones but we are not sure how many more he could make with the same Santhanam formula. But, this time, VSOP is a clear winner for an enjoyable watch on a relaxing evening.

Bottom line – Watch it as a laughter therapy and don't expect a storyline when you do.
