Siruthai Siva’s directorial Annaatthe featuring Rajinikanth is progressing fast for a Dusshera release. A rural family with a bevy of artists that includes veteran Khushbu, Meena and Prakashraj, Annaatthe reportedly features ‘Superstar’ in dual roles. Well for those who think Rajinikanth will be flexing muscles with Prakashraj, they may be proved wrong by Siruthai Siva.
Surprising all Rajini fans, the filmmaker has reportedly roped in popular Tollywood star Gopichand as the antagonist.

For Tamil audience, he is very familiar as Raghu in 2002 blockbuster Jayam. He was the ruthless baddie in Jayam Ravi’s maiden venture. Over the years, he migrated to Tollywood to establish himself as one of the popular heroes there. Sources say that Siruthai Siva had tactically chosen Gopichand for the movie for he might be a draw in Tollywood box office. And also he wanted a fresh baddie opposite Rajinikanth.

The movie’s shoot is expected to resume in Hyderabad Ramoji Rao Film City anytime soon.
