Ajith starrer Thunivu is releasing in theaters on Pongal. Directed by H. Vinod, this film is Produced by Boney Kapoor and is released across Tamil Nadu by Udayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. As the release is nearing, the promotion work of Thunivu is going on in full swing.

Meanwhile, a few days ago, a tweet was posted on the Twitter page of the Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation TANGEDCO with a poster of the film Thunivu. In it, it was mentioned that “Heartfelt congratulations to the power board employees who are risking their lives to provide uninterrupted and consistent electricity to the people during rains and natural calamities.”

The tweet sparked controversy because the film is being released by Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi and there were talks among the netizens that this tweet was posted to promote it. The netizens kept asking if the government will promote Udhayanidhi’s films.

As the talks intensified among the netizens, the tweet has now been removed from the official Twitter page of TANGEDCO (Tamil Nadu Power Generation and Distribution Corporation). It is worth noting that TANGEDCO company has been posting memes with pictures so that announcements about the electricity sector can reach people easily.
