Call it a relief for actor-politician Kamal Haasan. After he moved Madras High Court over the enquiry by Central Crime Branch over the mishap at the sets of Indian 2 that claimed three lives, the court granted him exemption from appearing before CCB.
he has reportedly alleged in the petition that he was made to wait for long hours during the enquiry and asked to enact how the mishap happened by the police officials.

The founder leader of Makkal Needhi Maiam was summoned by the Chennai Central Crime Branch police to appear in person in connection with the crane crash case a couple of weeks ago. Three men, including an assistant director on the sets of Indian 2, which was shot at the EVP film city, located in the outskirts of Chennai were killed in an unfortunate. Kamal Haasan luckily escaped from the accident as he moved from the spot a few minutes before the crane fell. The Chennai police registered a case of negligence causing injury and death. The police had said that the responsibility for the accident will be fixed after a detailed inquiry with all the stakeholders and also after studying the forensic report.
