Madura Veeran Movie Review

Madura Veeran: Brings back the Jallikattu emotions

Madura Veeran by PG Muthaiah that has Shanmuga Pandian is a rural-based action entertainer that has more emotions. To know more about this flick, read our review below:

Quick Glance

What’s great?

1. Samuthirakani’s portion is well written. He gives an extraordinary performance.
2. Jallikattu footage has been placed well and this gives it originality.
3. Shots well placed.
4. Characters are well written.

What’s not?
1. Shanmugan Pandian could have done even better. Expressions are a letdown.
2. Music by Santhosh Dhayanidhi dint impresses us.
3. Comedy portions dint work well. Its placement is an issue.

The Cast

The entire cast of this film has given a decent performance. Shanmuga Pandian has given a decent performance. The actor does what is required for the script in the first half but loses it when it comes to the latter half.

The actor failed to express and emote well. Samuthirakani has given an extraordinary performance especially in the flashback portion which would blow our mind. The female lead of this flick Meenakshi has no big scope in this film but she does what has been given to her very neatly.

The comic relief is given by Bala Saravanan. While Mime Gopi, G Marimuthu, PL Thenappan and Vela Ramamoorthy has given a good performance.

The Team

This film is technically good. P. G. Muthiah’s Cinematography is good, he keeps it simple and neat.

Music by Santhosh Dhayanidhi is not very impressive.

The twists keep us in the seat especially the last 45min of the film has lots to reveal. The Jallikattu footage placement in the second half of the film needs a special mention as it makes it natural and brings back the marina’s emotions.

Editing by Praveen KL is neat.

Bottom Line: One time watchable.

Certified Fresh – YES!
