The Cast
The entire cast has given their best and yes, there is no doubt when you have Thalapathy on screen. This time it’s not just a treat, it’s a triple delight to watch three different characters of Vijay on screen. All the three characters Maaran, Vettri, and Thalapathy are well-etched and he has done justice to all the three. Vijay, a perfectionist himself will not leave any traces behind when it comes to giving his 100 percent. My personal favorite character is Thalapathy. His charisma is just enough to keep us intact to the screens. It’s totally mass all the way.
Among the three female leads, Nithya Menen gets the meaty role in this film and she gives her 100%. Samantha looks ravishing and gives her best. Kajal Aggarwal looks good and performs well in the small screen time.
Sj Suryah who gave a commendable performance in Spyder as a dreadful villain continues to amaze us with his role as Dr. Daniel Arockiaraj in both modern and flashback portion.
Vadivelu shines as a comedian and also in the emotional scenes. Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu’s portions are also enjoyable and the comedy timing worked out really well.
The Team
Technically this film is brilliant. Thanks to the director for bringing a bunch of talents together in a single movie. AR Rahman’s music is good but its placement could have been given more attention. The BGM elevates the scenes and gives a classy feel.
Cinematography by debutant GK Vishnu needs a special mention as it’s a visual treat and a major highlight in this film.
The stunt sequences were well choreographed, kudos to Anal Arasu’s intense stunts. He has done an outstanding job.
The storyline is what you need to look for as it delivers a strong message to the masses but it becomes predictable in the end, this could have given more importance.
Editing by Ruben is crisp and neat and he was able to keep up the pace of the movie throughout.
Bottom line – It’s a full-on mass masala flick, engaging till the end. Go for it!
