Naan Sirithal: Fun under the sun
Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi is not just a busy composer but a successful actor too. Naan Sirithal is his third outing as a hero and unlike his earlier film, this provides him with a scope to bring out the actor in him. Inspired by a short film, Naan Sirithal is a fun-filled entertainer which has friendship, romance, action, and some comedy. A youngster has a rare disease. He laughs at emotional and difficult situations. It lands him greater trouble. He loses everything in life. What happens then forms the crux.

The movie is among the many that speak about a peculiar disorder for the male protagonist and how he overcomes it. Adhi has done it well. Romance and comedy have come out well. The good thing is that he has laughed in different styles to get his act right. Iswarya Menon is cute and bubbly. KS Ravikumar and Ravi Mariya make you laugh aloud. Though Yogi Babu comes brief, his one-liners in the company of Adhi does tickle our funny bones. Adhi has scored the music himself. The background score gels well with the story.
Raana has tried to be faithful to his short film. But missed out on few places where comedy could have taken center stage. A cliched and a wafer-thin story and not so interesting comedy scenes mars the flow. At places, it goes preachy. Nan Sirithal is a breezy entertainer that can engage you to some extent.
