Nassar is one of the ever-green actors in the industry. He is predominantly seen in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada cinemas. He made his acting debut in 1985 with K. Balachander’s ‘Kalyana Agathigal.’ His turning point in the industry was a movie in Mani Ratnam’s 1987 film ‘Nayakan’, in which he acted as a cop.
Recently, he is best remembered for his role in the Bhahubali series. Now the actor is reported to have retired from the cinema industry due to health issues. He was suffering from heart problems during the pandemic and now he is planning to quit acting to concentrate on his health. In an interview, he also said that he might take a break from cinema.
An enthralling factor about Nassar is that he served in the Indian Air Force before entering showbiz. Later, his passion for acting took him to the cinema field. He attended training at the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce Film Institute, and also at the Tamil Nadu Institute of Film and Television Technologies.
