Rana Daggubati has apologized to actor Sonam Kapoor for stating she “wasted” actor Dulquer Salmaan’s time with the 2019 film The Zoya Factor. Without mentioning Sonam, Rana said that a “Bollywood heroine” squandered Dulquer Salmaan’s time on the sets of their film. However, Rana has issued a clarification, stating that he is “genuinely troubled by the negativity.”
Rana in his social media page wrote, “I am genuinely troubled by the negativity that has been aimed at Sonam due to my comments, that are totally untrue and were meant entirely in a light-hearted manner. As friends, we often exchange playful banter, and I deeply regret that my words have been misinterpreted.
I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt apologies to Sonam and Dulquer, both of whom I hold in great esteem. I hope this clarification puts an end to any speculation and misunderstanding. Thank you for your understanding.”

According to sources, Rana stated during the King of Kotha event, “Dulquer was doing a Hindi movie, and the producers are my friends. The shoot was taking place near my residence. “I went to meet Dulquer when he was there,”.
“While he was standing in the corner with the spot boy, a big Hindi heroine who was doing that movie was engrossed in a phone conversation with her husband about shopping in London,” he added. Her lack of focus hampered the quality of the photographs, which frustrated others on the sets. Dulquer was patient and understanding despite the disturbances produced by the situation, defusing tension and preserving a pleasant environment.”
