K.V.Shanthi is a significant and talented actress in the Mollywood industry. She was born in Ettumanoor in Kottayam. The endowed actress came to Chennai and started her journey in the film industry. she has acted in 50 movies including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, and Hindi. Apart from acting, she is also a stunning dancer. When her dancing reached the great heights she went in collaboration with the Uday Shankar Centre for Dance. This led her to perform in many countries.
Her movies were often bankrolled under the screen of Merryland Studio who has paved a way for her to start her career in the cinema industry. She was the most demanded actress among the directors in the period of the 60s and 70s. She was first seen in the movie Prem Nazir in the year 1953 featuring Ponkathir and herself. She played the role of a dancer in the movie. Later she was seen in many successful movies in the Malayalam town. Her few ravishing movies are Lilly, Kalayum, Kaaminiyum, Atom Bomb, CID in Jungle, etc.
