Santhanam was once a successful comedian before he started acting as the lead hero. There are a lot of fans for his comedies and his combination with a few actors are super-duper hit in Tamil cinema.
But Santhanam eventually stopped acting as a comedian and he concentrated more on playing the lead character. Even though he has been acting in films as a hero, he is unable to give a big hit.
In the meantime, it is reported that Santhanam has agreed to act as a comedian in Ajith’s AK62. It is said that Ajith has called Santhanam over the phone and asked him to listen to Vignesh Sivan’s script and suggested that he should play the character in it. It has been reported that Santhanam has said OK to act as a comedian again because of Ajith’s request. It is interesting to note that Santhanam has collaborated with Ajith in movies including Kireedam, Billa, and Veeram.
Tentatively tiled as AK 62, this film is expected to go on floors later this month in Mumbai and will be produced by Lyca Productions. Trisha is rumored to play the female lead and Arvind Swami will play the antagonist while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.
