The director of the movie is Hemant Madhukar. The movie involves Anushka Shetty and Madhavan in the lead roles and Hollywood actor Michael Madsen, Anjali, Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey, and Srinivas Avasarala in the pivotal roles.
The movie was shot in both Telugu and Tamil, with the latter version titled Silence. The technical crew includes Gopi Sundar and Girishh as the music composer, Shaneil Deo as the cinematographer, and Kotagiri Venkateswara and Rao as the Editor. The movie is bankrolled by Kona Venkat and T.G.Vishwa Prasad under the banner of People Media Factory and Kona Film Corporation. The shooting process for the movie was commenced by May 2019 and was planned to release in January by 2020. Due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus and the continuous lockdown for several months, the release of the movie was postponed.

Now Nishabdham will debut on Amazon Prime Video on October 2. The movie will be released in 3 Major languages like Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. In this thriller movie, Anushka Shetty will be portrayed as a deaf and dumb woman named Sakshi, who unfortunately indulges in a criminal investigation. Anushka Shetty said that her character in the movie will be a different one when compared to all that she had played so far.
